Question Number: 30418Law 4 - Players Equipment 5/16/2016RE: competitive Adult Marco Portier of Noord, Aruba asks...Good morning, Is there a rule that I don't know of, that goalkeepers are not allowed to use those gloves anymore with the fiber for extra protection in the fingers? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Marco No such law. As long as the equipment poses no threat of injury to an opponent or the player himself then no issue. I cannot see gloves posing any risk unless they have hard plastic or metal which I have never seen

View Referee Joe McHugh profileAnswer provided by Referee James Sowa Marco, If in the opinion of the referee the gloves pose a safety risk to the players (including the goalkeeper) than the referee can require the equipment be removed. That said, there is no law which prohibits specifically the use of the those goalie gloves.
