Question Number: 30457Law 14 - Penalty kick 5/28/2016RE: Pro Professional Haji Hussain Jan of Muscat, Muscat Oman asks...https://youtube.com/watch?v=lVU0Du9V1FM the above link, is it goal or a yellow card to attacker and retake penalty? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lVU0Du9V1FM Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Haji No. Absolutely nothing wrong here. The kicker has legally feinted, he has not stopped his run up and the goal is good. Here are videos of the type of illegal feint that is now a caution and an IDFK to the defending team. It is no longer a retake. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=788q49gBGjk&t=0m40s https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mZEQrmpJHKg https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jmEHynpR2vc&t=1m0s It had become a problem in South America where it is called a Paradinha. It is no longer legal and as you can see a world of difference between that and your PK example.

Note that retakes are no longer an option but a loss of possession if indeed the pk kicker has illegally feigned. from our pitch to your pitch in the spirit of fair play
