Question Number: 30589Law 3 - Number of Players 7/10/2016RE: College Stuart Main of Perth , UK asks...Is it possible to substitute a player on who has been substituted off in the same game Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Stuart That is not possible in a regular game. Once substituted a player can take no further part in the game. The laws though can be modified in their application for matches for players of under 16 years of age, for women footballers, for veteran footballers (over 35 years of age) and for players with disabilities. In those games the competition rules can be amended to allow for rolling substitutions which means that players can return multiple times as required under amended substitution rules.
