Is it a kick? as description of kick. Ball be played by foot. Ball played by knee is not a kick(as in back-pass rule).

This is not a kick. So technically the referee could have gone with a retake. The kicker though assumed that he put the ball into play and he can seen to hesitate for fear of a double touch infringement. As the kicking team assumed that the ball was put into play as did the opponents the referee allowed play to continue. Perhaps the referee thought that a foot was used by the kicker.

Has to be played with the foot to be a kick.

Hi Haji,
while we do not make a habit to reward mistakes it is blatantly obvious he fell into or onto the ball. This could be a retake in my opinion, but I side with my colleague because the attacking team seemed to believe it was taken the opposition had the same idea and the referee who might be unaware of exactly how the ball moved forward just permitted play to continue.
