Question Number: 30964League Specific 10/27/2016RE: AYSO Other anon of altadena, ca us asks...This question is a follow up to question 105083 The panel asks if the new OS law applies to all of AYSO: Of course it does!! AYSO is part of USSF and plays by (and publishes) the LOTG as modified by IFAB on an annual basis. AYSO conducted web casts on the modifications from this year, and all AYSO referees should have received invitations to those webcasts. Application of the old laws (including the placement of a the restart for OS) would be for exactly the same reason as it would be in any other game with the USFF (or FIFA for that matter) world: lack of proper understanding and education by the referee (and possibly whoever is providing instruction). Answer provided by Referee MrRef Information readily made available sometimes takes a while to work its way down the pipes. Even FIFA and IFAB directives and clarifications are debated long after they are to be implemented so confusion and random situations arise that are not as clear to some as others. We appreciate all input from all sources. From our pitch to your pitch in the spirit if fair play

It is understood that AYSO games are conducted in accordance with the current FIFA Laws of the Game and decisions of the International Football Association Board (IFAB) however AYSO do so **with exceptions and clarifications:** Sometimes those exceptions can include delayed implementation of certain laws etc.
