Question Number: 31363Law 10 - Determining the Outcome of a Match 3/18/2017RE: Rec Adult russell of Sydney, Australia asks...Next time someone complains about an offside call from an AR - show them this clip so they can get an idea of the challenges. Fast forward to the 3:58 mark and see how the near side AR has to work on the fast break. http://www.fullmatchesandshows.com/2017/03/18/west-bromwich-albion-vs-arsenal-highlights/ Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Russell The role of an AR is highly specialised that only a few make it to the very top. Speed, good awareness, concentration etc are all required to make good calls as an AR. Working with good ARs makes the game easier to officiate.
