Question Number: 31373Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 3/20/2017RE: Rec Adult russell of Sydney, Australia asks...A follow up to an earlier post regarding keeper red v attacker IFK. http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/video/901811267885/My-intention-was-to-foul-Theo-I-should-have-been-y A foul is a foul, for sure, however, considering the personal abuse this guy has received for areas outside and unrelated of football, I'll accept his honesty. Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Russell Believe it or not that was my immediate answer to your first question. The first foul was by the attacker However sometimes things just happen in games which we have to accept. At the time the referee gave what he saw and what he thought was correct. Hindsight, video evidence and admissions cannot change that other than perhaps the red card suspension. I also think that while honesty is always best sometimes saying nothing can be the better policy. The players admission does not help the situation here IMHO.
