Zluvka of Liberec, Czech Republic Czech Republic asks...

Where is the spot of the free kick, when it is offside offence without touching the ball? (In the sense of the last LOTG revision.)

Hi Zluvka
There are two locations for the IDFK restart.
One is where the ball was touched which is interfering with play or the second option is where the player interfered with an opponent by one of the four condition such as the location where the PIOP challenged for the ball. Those generally only happen close to the ball.
The tricky one is the early flag . My advice us to go with the location if the player at the moment of the flag. That may be reasonably close to the ball anyway.

Hi Zluvka,
Like 'touching the ball', it's where the Player in an Offside Position became involved in active play. That is, where the ATTACKER was when he interfered with the opponent.
