Question Number: 32011Law 8 - The Start and Restart of Play 11/10/2017RE: Adult Muhammad Rizwan of Abbottabad, Abbottabad Pakistan asks...How Many players of kicking team can stand in the centre circle during a kick-off going back? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Muhammad There is no restriction and there never was at any time. At an extreme all eleven can stand in there if they so wish. The kicker can stand over the halfway line in the opponents half as the Law states that * all players, except the player taking the kick-off, must be in their own half of the field of play* Inside the Centre circle in their own half meet that law requirement. Tactics suggest otherwise
