Question Number: 32183Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 1/21/2018RE: Adult John Fellows of Dudley, England asks...If a player is fouled and needs the Physio. And the player who commited the foul is booked , does that mean the fouled player dose not have to leave the field after treatment . Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi John Yes that is correct. That is one of the new Laws changes that tries to introduce fairness in decisions. A team that commits a yellow card offence should not be benefitted with a removal of an opponent. Now it does not mean that the game is held up indefinitely for the injury treatment and if it is clear that the player is not going to return swiftly play must continue.
