Question Number: 32240

Law 11 - Offside 2/18/2018

RE: Pro Adult

Graham of Derbyshire , England asks...

Does an opponents arm/hand keep an attacking player onside, I understand that the attacking player arm/hand does not deem him offside.

Answer provided by Referee Peter Grove

Hi Graham,
Whether it's the defender or the attacker, it doesn't matter. In relation to offside, the law says:

''The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered.''
