Question Number: 15081League Specific 3/30/2007RE: Competive Under 16 Marc Watson of Luton, Bedfordshire England, UK asks...This question is a follow up to question 14984 Dear Panel,
This is a follow-up to a pervious question.
As I said in the last, I've been appointed onto a County Cup Youth Final. The game is being played on the 22nd April.
My postion, I've found out, is Fourth Official. If the need arises I will replace the senior assistant, while he takes over in the middle.
I know my duties as listed in the LOTG, but can't find the answer to one thing, which I hope you can help with.
I wanted to ask what equipment I would need to take/obtain to help me forefil this role as Fourth Official. What would I be expected to carry?
Also, where can I find log sheets?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Kind Regards,
Marc Watson Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Contact your referee assigned if he has not contacted you! I have no idea if you have number boards or what specific duties in handling substitutes or controling the technical areas you might be given. Show up as if ready to referee with all your regular gear neat and in good shape . Several Pencils sharpened, at least two pens, note book, 2 watches include a 3rd stop watch as well if you have one. Ensure you are briefed in the pregame and communicate with the AR and referee as instructed! ASK if you do not understand something before the match begins! A good 4th keeps the referee and ARs fixed on the game by avoiding the distractions of the touchlines! Good luck and enjoy the day! Cheers
