Question Number: 16032

Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 7/14/2007

RE: competitive Under 18

Bryan of Naperville, IL USA asks...

This question is a follow up to question 15969

thanks for the responses [to 15969], and in my case i hit a player while sliding hit the ball and we accidentally clipped eachother while he was jumping over me and i was sliding under him...then another player on their team said "just hit him next time...he deserves it"....then he attempted to take me out on a corner kick but i ended up going up for the ball in the air harder than he did so he fell then he swore at me,backed away, and stayed away. should i still tell a coach or the referee because it was handled or should i just drop it in that case?

Answer provided by Referee Ben Mueller

Hey Bryan! Perhaps inform your coach of you status. If you are angry or frustrated it might be best to sit out a few minutes. Hopefully the referee was able to deal with all of this correctly.
