Question Number: 24831Law 15 - Throw In 4/18/2011RE: Adult Terry of nottingham, uk asks...If from a throw in the ball goes directly into the opponents goal,what is the referee's decision,a corner kick? Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino A goal cannot be scored directly on a throw-in. So, the ball has crossed over the goal line last touched by the attacking team and a goal not scored.

The ball crossed the goal line, but is not a goal, last touched by a member of the attacking team.

Rarely happen but when it does it is a goal kick.
It can only be a corner kick if the ball is thrown into a player's own goal from a throw in.
